Tiernan Wont is a half-elven customer of the Sorcerous Sundries shop in the Lower City in Act Three.

'Rare' might as well mean 'cursed'. What's wrong with some classic Elminster? Maybe a nice bit of Volothamp Geddarm.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Act Three[edit | edit source]

Tiernan can be seen browsing the literature section for certain books. He has high praise for books authored by Volo Volo and Elminster Elminster but considers the Baldur's Mouth Gazette to be rabble and disrespectful.

Idle dialogue[edit | edit source]

Tiernan Wont: Let's see - I'm sure there's gold in these stacks somewhere...

  • Tiernan Wont: No, this was here last week.
    • Tiernan Wont: I already have two copies of this...

Tiernan Wont: Is this a signed copy? Oh, by Volothamp Geddarm himself! How delightful!

  • Tiernan Wont: I simply must have it. How much...?
    • Tiernan Wont: Oh. Perhaps not.

Tiernan Wont: 'Goblin Party Cooking'? What's that doing in here?

  • Tiernan Wont: It must have some sort of merit if Sorcerous Sundries stocks it, I suppose.
    • Tiernan Wont: Well, at least they seem to use the... everything... of everything. Not a title for me, I think.

Tiernan Wont: Ugh, what's an issue of the Baldur's Mouth Gazette doing in here? And why is it damp?

  • Tiernan Wont: Some people have no respect for literature!
    • Tiernan Wont: Into the bin where it belongs.
