Idle banter[edit | edit source]

  • Cordrane the Recent
I can tell you're a discerning customer - you're after nothing but the best.
  • Cordrane the Recent
And luckily for you, that's exactly what I have - the best necromantic charms in the city or your money back!
  • Cordrane the Recent
Just think of the possibilities once you have a fresh, high-quality, completely safe zombie at your disposal.
  • Alice Althea
Gods, but it stinks! And it looks like somebody melted most of its flesh off.
  • Alice Althea
I'd be a laughing stock with that lumbering 'round after me.
  • Cordrane the Recent
Now, now - you and I both know that being undead takes a toll on a corpse.
  • Cordrane the Recent
We also do a range of fetching liveries and complimentary perfume spritzers - all seasonal, of course.
  • Alice Althea
    Complimentary, you say?
  • Alice Althea
So what can it do? I've a lot of domestic tasks that are quite frankly beneath me.
  • Cordrane the Recent
Oh. they excel at all those humdrum menial chores.
  • Cordrane the Recent
They're particularly good at cleaning - especially food disposal.
  • Cordrane the Recent
They'll happily eat anything you put in front of them.
  • Alice Althea
It is rather a pain to clean up after dinner parties...
  • Cordrane the Recent
Word of warning, mind: make sure you empty them frequently.
  • Cordrane the Recent
Otherwise you might have a gut explosion on your hands.
  • Cordrane the Recent
    ...And everywhere else, really.
  • Alice Althea
Empty them? How? Oh. You know what - I'm not sure I want to know.
  • Cordrane the Recent
They also make excellent low-cost bodyguards - and you can't be too careful with the way things are going.
  • Alice Althea
It looks a little fragile to me...
  • Cordrane the Recent
Nonsense! They're tougher than they look. Plus, even if they lose a limb, they keep on going.
  • Cordrane the Recent
I sold one to a wonderful old gent for property protection.
  • Cordrane the Recent
A trespasser chopped its arms off but it still chewed right through their ankles.
  • Cordrane the Recent
They won't be trespassing anywhere else in a hurry! Or walking at all, for that matter.
  • Alice Althea
    I see...
  • Cordrane the Recent
One more thing: I recommend getting at least a couple of scrolls of Turn Undead just in case.
  • Alice Althea
    Just in case what?
  • Cordrane the Recent
Just in case you happen to lose control of your shiny new servant.
  • Alice Althea
Oh. Does that happen very often?
  • Cordrane the Recent
    Not very. But it might.
  • Cordrane the Recent
It's very much a case of summoner error when it does - not our spellwork.
  • Cordrane the Recent
Tell you what, I'll throw one in for free with your purchase - limited time offer.
  • Alice Althea
    I... I'll think about it.
