War Priest is a War Domain Cleric feature that allows the Cleric to make a limited number of bonus action attacks using War Priest Charges which recharge after a long rest.

Description

When you make an unarmed or weapon attack, you can spend a War Priest Charge to make an additional attack as a Bonus action.

Details

Cost:
Bonus action + War Priest Charge

At higher levels

A War Domain Cleric begins with three War Priest Charges per long rest. This increases to:

  • Four charges at Cleric Level 5
  • Five charges at Cleric Level 8
  • Six charges at Cleric Level 11

How to learn

Classes:

Used by creatures: Adrielle

Notes

  • This ability has been changed slightly from the original tabletop version, where the user instead has an amount of charges equal to their Wisdom modifier, with a minimum of 1 charge (and as such the amount of uses will range from 1 to 5).
  • While it is described as passive ability, it will not show up in your passive options (Like non-lethal attacks). As long as you have charges and bonus actions available, the ability will trigger in the same way Extra Attack works; after making an attack you will see your attack (and compatible actions) highlighted, it will not prompt you for a confirmation.
