Idle banter[edit | edit source]

  • Pheebs Splayfoot
All right, how much for the saltpetre, including fees?
  • Trader Djingo
    Depends. How many barrels?
  • Pheebs Splayfoot
    All of them.
  • Trader Djingo
500 gold, at least 100 in coin.
  • Pheebs Splayfoot
That's harbour robbery, especially when it's been in storage for months.
  • Trader Djingo
We both know you'll sell it for twice that to the armoury once the city's under siege.
  • Smiley Gheef
    Too right. I'll go 600.
  • Pheebs Splayfoot
Hey, I was here first. 700.
  • Kaet Ling
A thousand gold, all in cash, no notes.
  • Trader Djingo
Sold! A pleasure doing business with you, saer.
