Overview[edit | edit source]

Access[edit | edit source]
The ship can be accessed in two ways:
- Via the western docks of the Counting House, another ship lies next to the docks, but it is possible to jump from it unto the Lass. However, the area is restricted and guards will try to stop the party.
- Via the docks next to the Water Queen's House, this requires traversing across sinking docks and the dock at which the Lass is located is blocked off by a barricade.
A sign on the latter's side indicates the ship is under quarantine for a plague.
Onboard[edit | edit source]
Onboard the party can find the corpses of Captain Harfang, Dizby, Jorkens, and Sister Penita.
Reading books found on the crew's bodies reveals the ship was cursed by the Gloom Crone from Crone Island. Captain Harfang took a deal which was too good to be true causing the crew to get cursed and eventually die as a result. Sister Penita was sent to investigate the quarantined ship, but fell to the curse as well before she could find out what happened[1].
There is little loot to be found on the ship: a storage cabin in the middle contains various Fish and a Pitcher of Beer. At the back is a Gilded Chest, containing gold, a Gold Ingot, a Supreme Elixir of Arcane Cultivation and Wyvern Toxin.
Sea plague[edit | edit source]

The crew of the Lustrous Lass was felled by the Sea Plague infesting the ship. Any character traversing the ship must pass a DC 20 Constitution Check or become inflicted as well. The condition is a disease and persists until cured by magic or a Long Rest.
Enemies[edit | edit source]
A Cursed Imp is hiding in the Gilded Chest at the aft of the ship. Despite its unassuming size, the creature is a formidable threat capable of taking down unprepared max-level parties on its own. It cannot be surprised, has a substantial initiative bonus of +8, and reflects all sources of damage threefold as acid damage due to Caustic Retort.
It is possible to avoid the fight for a while by picking up the chest without opening it. It is also possible to send it to camp. If the chest is opened later, the Cursed Imp spawns where the chest used to be.
Killing the Cursed Imp cleanses the ship of Sea Plague.
