Menalda is a gnomish member of the Church of Gond, and can found at the Steel Watch Foundry during Act Three.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Menalda can only seen during and right after the conclusion of the quest Disable the Steel WatchDisable the Steel Watch if Zanner ToobinZanner Toobin accompanied the party but died in the process.

To get her to appear, the party must go to the Iron Throne and return. Zanner will initiate a revolution and after the fight on the ground floor, after which the player must tell Zanner that his daughter is safe (or successfully deceive him into thinking so).

Zanner will offer to help destroy the Steel Watch Foundry, to which the party should accept:

  • Zanner Toobin
    Our destination is the Neurocitor - the nerve centre of the Steel Watch. Guide me there, and I'll do the rest.
    • Agreed - let's finish this.

Doing so causes him to send the surviving Gondians outside of the factory while he also joins the party as a temporary companion. The party can then kill him or let him die on the way to the control centre. Once he is dead, the party needs an alternate way of destroying the Neurocitor, either by using the Runepowder Bomb from Wulbren BongleWulbren Bongle or by obtaining the code, since Zanner is not alive to do it himself.

If done correctly, when the Steel Watch Foundry is blown up Menalda runs out of the building instead of Zanner and gathers with the rest of the Gondians outside of the foundry before being approached by Wulbren.
