Mavus is a human child who is being cajoled to sneak into the circus in Rivington during Act Three.

Mavus can be found just outside the Circus of the Last Days alongside 
Izzy, who tries to cajole him into sneaking into the circus to see 
Zara, 
Zethino, and 
Akabi. However, Mavus is reluctant, because he does not want to get in trouble, as his dad told him to stay out of trouble.

- Don't be such a baby, the circus is RIGHT THERE.
- Mavus
- My dad said I'm not allowed...
- Izzy
- Do you do everything your dad tells you?
- Mavus
- No!
- Izzy
- Then let's sneak into the circus!
- Izzy
- Don't you wanna see the dryad? Or the djinni?
- Mavus
- Djinni are scary.
- Izzy
- Then what about Dribbles? I heard he has a new show with Buddy the dog.
- Mavus
- Really? Buddy is my favourite!
- Izzy
- Right? His eyes glow and everything.
- Mavus
- What if we get in trouble?
- Izzy
- We won't.
- Mavus
- What if we get caught?
- Izzy
- It's a circus, not the Counting House! We'll get kicked out, so what?
