Act Three[edit section | visual editor]

When approached, Mirie asks the party if they are here to become Unburdened. She senses the party members need help and recommends The Unburdening to ease them of their woes. Passing a DC 10 Insight Check DC 10 Insight Check reveals that she genuinely wants to help, but there may be caveats:

  • [INSIGHT] Usually a god would've been mentioned by now - is this a scam? (DC 20)

To become Unburdened, the interacting party member must pay 1,000 gold. Mirie then leads the party through the locked doors to the Mapping Room.

If ShadowheartShadowheart is present, Mirie recognizes her and greets her differently depending on her choice to reject or embrace Shar in The Chosen of SharThe Chosen of Shar. Shadowheart voices her desire to see the Mother Superior, but Mirie interjects that she must submit to a Mapping of the Heart first. Mirie then leads the party to the Mapping Room without requiring a fee.

After killing or banishing Viconia DeVirViconia DeVir, Mirie remains neutral and does not trade with any party member except Shadowheart, provided she remained loyal to Shar. If Shadowheart's parents are freed or killed without Shar's approval, Mirie and the three followers of Shar next to her become hostile and attack the party.
