Notes
- Riposte can only trigger from melee attacks (including melee spell attacks) made within 2 m (7 ft) away. This is slightly longer than the normal weapon range of 1.5 m (5 ft) but less than Extra Reach range of 2.5 m (8 ft). This means that Riposte cannot counter full range attacks from pikes and similar weapons.
- Unlike a normal Opportunity Attack, Riposte does not require you to be actively wielding a melee weapon in order to use. If you trigger it while wielding a ranged weapon, you will automatically switch to your melee weapon before performing the riposte.
- If you do not have any melee weapons equipped, you will perform the riposte with an unarmed strike.
