Arensen

Fist 'Edge' Arensen is a human fighter and a member of the Flaming Fist. He is located in the Lower City in Act Three.

Involvement

Arensen works as the executioner at the gallows outside the Basilisk Gate Barracks. He also acts as a towncrier, occasionally shouting out warnings and moral precepts to those nearby.

Talking to Arensen and choosing different answers to his teachings provides minor approval from various companions (see below).

If the party started the ⁠Free Counsellor Florrick quest by reading an  Execution Notice, and have no clues on counsellor's whereabouts, they can talk to Arensen and ask him about her. This option is only available in the dialogue when speaking to Arensen for the first time. However, each party member can talk to Arensen to get this information. Thus, it is possible to gain the approval points as well.

If  Florrick is executed, Arensen completely agrees with the propaganda about her treason, and after  Gortash is defeated, ruefully concludes that the city's future is forfeit.

At some point during Act Three Arensen executes both  Durm Goroy and  Vince Torell outside of the party's view; thereafter they show next to him hanging on the gallows.

Companion approval

While the party speak to Arensen for the first time, the interacting party member gets additional dialogue options which can bring approval / disapproval from certain companions:
