She can be instead given an Owlbear Egg and either convinced into believing it's the right egg ( DC 21 Nature check), deceived to believe that the egg is more valuable to her ( DC 21 Deception check), or persuaded into having to trick her employers ( DC 21 Persuasion check).

Act Three

If she was given a genuine Githyanki egg in Act One, Esther can be found dead at the docks of The Lodge, murdered by the child that hatched from it.
