Harvard Willoughby is a Lvl 1 Sheep located in the Rivington Campsite, not to be confused with Harvard Willoughby, the human comedian found in the Elfsong Tavern. Harvard Willoughby (the sheep) can only be summoned if a series of non-quest-related tasks are completed, which are listed below.

Conditions for Appearance[edit | edit source]

Three conditions must be met for Harvard Willloughby's summoning item, the Mysterious Egg, to appear in the Rivington Campsite.

  1. Harvard Willoughby (the human comedian), located in the Elfsong Tavern, must be dead.
  2. The party must ring the bell in the bell tower atop the Lower City Central Wall in the Lower City, outside the entrance to the Szarr Palace.
  3. The party must ring the bell in the bell tower atop the Open Hand Temple in Rivington.

These conditions can be met in any order, as long as Harvard Willoughby Harvard Willoughby (the human comedian) is dead before the second bell is rung. Once these conditions are met correctly, the Mysterious Egg will appear in the Rivington Campsite in the Bird's Nest at X: 405 Y: -747.

Interacting with the Mysterious Egg drops Harvard Willoughby from the sky. He is temporarily affected by Feather Fall Feather Fall during his descent, which is then removed. Since interacting with the Mysterious Egg requires melee distance, it should be noted that he likely falls directly on top of the interacting party member, dealing them bludgeoning damage. He then follows the party member as a controllable summon. Until he is killed, he can be dismissed and resummoned by interacting with the Mysterious Egg again.

Combat[edit | edit source]

Immediately upon the start of combat, Harvard Willoughby receives Burning Burning condition. His immunity to fire damage renders this purely cosmetic. Once killed, he cannot be revived or re-summoned.

Attacks and Abilities[edit | edit source]

Every round, at the start of Harvard Willoughby's turn, a random number from 0-27 is rolled and added to the round number. When the combined total is 30, Harvard Willoughby will explode, dealing fire damage to all nearby creatures in a manner identical to using Fireball. Despite his immunity to fire damage, he is disintegrated in the process.

Notes and references[edit | edit source]

  • Attempting to harm him in camp makes all characters in the vicinity immediately hostile, similar to harming Scratch Scratch or the Owlbear Cub Owlbear Cub.
  • His Spell Save DC is Strength, which means a consistent way to increase it is to give him an Elixir of Hill Giant Strength or an Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength.
  • Harvard Willoughby (the human comedian) has a DevComment in the internal files reading, "This is a tribute to our favorite sheep". This implies that Harvard Willoughby (Nature's Vengeance) came first.
