Martial Arts: Bonus Unarmed Strike is a Monk passive feature that grants a single follow-up Unarmed Strike (Monk)Unarmed Strike (Monk) using a Bonus Action. The initial attack must be unarmed or use a Monk Weapon.

Description

After making an attack with a Monk weapon or while unarmed, you can make another unarmed attack as a bonus action.

Notes

  • This feature only triggers on melee attacks, and will not trigger on itself.
    • If the user has multiple bonus actions, such as from Wholeness of BodyWholeness of Body and Fast HandsFast Hands, the first use of Bonus Unarmed Strike makes it unavailable to be used again immediately for the second bonus action. To avoid this, the user must perform another monk weapon attack or Unarmed Strike (e.g. level 5 monk with Extra AttackExtra Attack) before using the second bonus action.
  • All of the Way of the Four Elements abilities also grant this bonus action attack, even the ones that are not attacks.
