Drunken Master is a subclass of Monk, released as part of Patch 8 in 2025. [url 1]


Subclass features[edit section | visual editor]

This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Monk, in addition to its unique features outlined below.

Level 3[edit section | visual editor]

Cheeky TippleCheeky Tipple
You are Immune to the negative effects of being DrunkDrunk. Once per day, when you drink alcohol, you regain half your Ki Points (rounded down).
Drunken PerformanceDrunken Performance
You gain Proficiency in PerformancePerformance.
Drunken TechniqueDrunken Technique (Bonus Action + Ki Point)
Punch twice in quick succession and grant yourself an additional 3 m / 10 ft movement and the benefits of Disengage Disengage.
Flurry of Blows is replaced by Drunken Technique.

Intoxicating StrikeIntoxicating Strike (Action + Ki Point)
Hit a creature with your bare fists and possibly get them Drunk Drunk.
Life of the PartyLife of the Party
Every time Intoxicating StrikeIntoxicating Strike hits, the monk gains Life of the PartyLife of the Party, which increases Armour Class and Attack Rolls against DrunkDrunk targets.

Leap to Your FeetLeap to Your Feet
When you are ProneProne, standing up uses only 1.5 m / 5 ft of your Movement Speed speed.
Redirect AttackRedirect Attack
When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can spend 1 Ki Point as a reaction to make an unarmed attack against the attacker.

Sobering RealisationSobering Realisation (Action + Ki Point)
Hit a DrunkDrunk target and sober them up by dealing bonus PsychicPsychic damage. On a successful hit, the monk also loses Life of the PartyLife of the Party.

Level 11[edit section | visual editor]

Drunkard's LuckDrunkard's Luck (2 Ki Point)
When you make an Ability Check, Attack Roll, or Saving Throw and have DisadvantageDisadvantage on the roll, you can spend  2 Ki Points to negate the Disadvantage for that roll.

Notes[edit section | visual editor]

  • This subclass synergies well with the Drunk set equipment set.
  • Wine Goblets can induce the AlcoholAlcohol condition in combat without costing a bonus action.
