Notes
- This ability's name is misleading: in the D&D 5e ruleset, it generates an attack against a different enemy, but the game implements it as a counterattack against the original attacker, similar to the Riposte manoeuvre, but using an Unarmed Strike (Monk).
- Like Riposte, Redirect Attack only triggers from melee attacks (including melee spell attacks) made within 2 m (7 ft) away. This is slightly longer than the normal weapon range of 1.5 m (5 ft) but shorter than the Extra Reach range of 2.5 m (8 ft), meaning it cannot counter attacks made at full range from pikes and similar weapons.
- Unlike Riposte, Redirect Attack can counterattack invisible enemies.[verify]
