The Facemaker's Boutique is a Location within the Lower City in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is a clothing store owned by  Figaro Pennygood which is located at X: -181 Y: -31.

Overview

The Facemaker's Boutique is located across from Elerrathin's Home, close to the Baldur's Gate waypoint. Figaro is the brother of  Carmen Pennygood, the owner of Carm's Garms in Wyrm's Crossing. He is one of the names on the ⁠Bhaalist murder list. Depending on the state of the quest, a potential assassination will happen.

Ground floor

The back of the shop

The boutique's entrance is on the ground floor and leads to a large shopping room where  Bobula Hanvers and  Phlanders Hort are working as staff. Phlanders stands behind the counter, on the bottom shelves of which a  Gold Key can be found and used to unlock a chest filled with dyes in the front window.

To the sides of the counter are two double doors, each leading to the back area of the shop. Depending on the status of ⁠Investigate the Murders,  Figaro Pennygood can be found working or being targeted by an assassination. In the latter case,  Devella Fountainhead will also be there.

Obtaining a new piece of clothing from  Figaro Pennygood awards the following inspirations:

• ⁠Threads of Fame ( Entertainer background).
• ⁠Updating Your Wardrobe ( Noble background)

To the side of the front room is a small room; it contains a hatch to go down into the basement as well as stairs leading to the first floor.

First floor

Following the stairs up from the side room next to the entrance leads to a locked door, opened with a  DC 20 Sleight of Hand check. Through the door are two more rooms. The first serves as a hall and contains mostly miscellaneous loot, including a  Potion of Superior Healing inside a wicker chest. The second room can be entered from the hall and is Figaro's bedroom. In this room is an empty strongbox in the wall which can be opened with  Figaro's Safe Key. On a desk in the bedroom another  key can be found. Next to these rooms, a large balcony can be reached from the hall.

Basement

The basement of Facemaker's Boutique

The basement can be accessed through a locked hatch near the stairs to the first floor, unlocked by lock-picking or using the  Facemaker Fashion Basement Key, carried by  Phlanders Hort.

The basement consists of several rooms connected together. It contains assorted dyes and a desk with a  Forgery Kit and  The Last Will and Testament of Julio Facemaker. On this same desk is small locked Gilded Chest which can be unlocked by using  Figaro's Chest Key, obtained from the Stack of Scrolls next to it. Another large Opulent locked chest can be found a bit further from the desk and can be unlocked using another of Figaro's  keys; this one can be found either on  Bobula Hanvers or in the bedroom of Figaro on the first floor.

In the basement a destroyable wall can be spotted. Behind it is a Blast Mine (disarmed with  DC 10 Sleight of Hand check) and a locked Wooden Chest (lockpicked with a  DC 15 Sleight of Hand check) containing some gold, ingots and alchemy ingredients.
