Wild Shape Charge is a class-specific resource for Druids.

Overview

Wild Shape Charges are a limited resource that allow druids to shapeshift into different forms. A number of base forms are available to all druids, and sub-classes allow for additional forms. Each subclass has its own specific shapeshifting ability:

•  Circle of the Land maintains  Wild Shape
•  Circle of the Moon gains  Combat Wild Shape
•  Circle of the Spores gains  Symbiotic Entity
•  Circle of the Stars gains  Starry Form

Druids gain 2 Wild Shape Charges at Level 2 – they do not gain additional charges from leveling up.

Recovering Wild Shape Charges

Wild Shape Charges are fully replenished on Short Rest, Long Rest, or respeccing with Withers.

Actions using Wild Shape Charges

Costs in this table are variable in some cases, as they are conditioned on whether the caster has  Wild Shape or  Combat Wild Shape. The later causes shapeshifting abilities to only cost a bonus action instead of a full action.
