Ki Point is a class-specific resource for Monks.
Overview edit
Ki Points enable monks to use many monk specific abilities, like Flurry of Blows or Deflect Missiles. They, like all resources, are displayed above a characters hotbar next to their other resources such as Actions, Bonus Actions, and Spell Slots.
Gaining Ki Points edit
Monks earn 1 maximum Ki Point per monk level, starting with 2 at level 1 and ending with 13 at level 12.

Recovering Ki Points edit
Ki Points recover fully on a Short Rest.
- Way of the Four Elements monks can use Harmony of Fire and Water to regain half their maximum Ki Points (rounded down) per Long Rest.
- Way of the Open Hand monks can use Wholeness of Body once per Long Rest to recover half their maximum Ki Points, then 1 Ki point per round for three rounds.
- Way of the Drunken Master monks can use Cheeky Tipple once per Long Rest by drinking alcohol to recover half their maximum Ki Points (rounded down).
- Ki Restoration (Lesser) from the Sentient Amulet (Rare) recovers 2 Ki Points once per Long Rest.
- Ki Restoration (Greater) from the Sentient Amulet (Very Rare) recovers a random number of Ki Points up to the monk's martial dice once per Long Rest.
- Divine Intervention: Opulent Revival from the Cleric class can restore 100% of an ally monk's Ki Points, once per playthrough.
