Gherva is in the Elfsong Tavern in the Lower City arguing with her brother Stug Minedale about Stug leaving The Guild to join her order of Helm called the Vigilant Knights. Her brother is finishing a job for Uktar, where he pressures the Guild’s debtors to pay what they owe, using tactics than can include breaking their knees.
The party can advise him to finish the job or abandon it. If abandoned, Stug returns the payment to Uktar, who hopes he will only have one of his knees broken. Regardless of the choice, Slug decides to remain at the Elfsong Tavern with Gherva, claiming he is not yet ready to face up to what he must do.
