Greetings

Depending on their approval rating, Minsc may greet the player with:

Very Low (-40 or less)[Needs Verification]

Low (-20 or less)[Needs Verification]

Neutral (-19 - 20)

Medium approval (20+)[Needs Verification]

High approval (40+)[Needs Verification]

Very High approval (60+)[Needs Verification]

Exceptional approval (80+)[Needs Verification]

Approval

The following story and dialogue choices will cause Minsc to gain approval.

Act Three

  • Choosing "We'll find a third way. Would you two like to kill the old man, Minsc, or shall I?" in the Murder Tribunal during Investigate the Murders grants 5 approval from Minsc.
  • Choosing "Not in this lifetime." while speaking with Rion in Jaheira's house grants 1 approval from Minsc.
  • Choosing "There are refugees outside. They'll need protection." while speaking with Rion second time in Jaheira's house grants 1 approval from Minsc (might require having Jaheira in party).
  • Choosing "You're mistaken. Minsc of Rashamen always knows the right thing to do." during conversation with Roah Moonglow in Guildhall as Zhentarim are trying to seize control of the guild grants 10 approval with Minsc.

Disapproval

The following story and dialogue choices will cause Minsc to lose approval.

Act Three

  • If the player attempts to get Minsc to pretend to be their servant during the Murder Tribunal in Investigate the Murders, Minsc loses 50 approval if the player chooses to sacrifice him by choosing "Fine, Sarevok. If he won't obey - take him as my offering instead."
