The Jungle is a region in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is accessible only through AkabiAkabi at the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington. A single party member can be teleported here if they win the jackpot in Akabi's spin the wheel game.

Access[edit section | visual editor]

Akabi's game can only be won by stealing his Djinni Ring before playing his game, or (for a bard character) by succeeding on the passive DC 20 Perception Check DC 20 Perception Check and then the DC 15 Persuasion Check DC 15 Persuasion Check or DC 15 Performance Check DC 15 Performance Check to distract the djinni while actually spinning the wheel. Only the party member speaking to Akabi is teleported to the Jungle, and there is no way for other party members to travel there.

Fast travel and long resting are not possible inside the Jungle. It becomes easier to navigate the area and avoid the dinosaurs if a character is able to FlyFly.

The Jungle appears to be part of the tropical peninsula of ChultChult, and is full of hostile alioramus dinosaurs.

The cliff above the den containing a backpack with a magic ring

The Jungle is a small area with several alioramus and one alioramus colossa. After being teleported here by Akabi, the only exit is through a portal at the far south-eastern corner. Beside the exit is a locked chest (DC 20 Sleight of Hand Check DC 20 Sleight of Hand Check) containing the legendary weapon Nyrulna X: -1511 Y: -1522.

West of the entry point is an alioramus den, with several normal Chult AlioramusChult Alioramus and one Chult Alioramus ColossaChult Alioramus Colossa. The dinosaurs do not carry any loot. There are a number of dead bodies with some mediocre loot. On a cliff above the den is a skeleton beneath a canvas shelter. Beside it, in a backpack, is the Band of the Mystic Scoundrel X: -1566 Y: -1522. The journal Always Hungry inside the backpack tells the party member where they are now. A note can be found at a derelict campsite: Don't Mess With Djinnies.

After using the exit portal, the party member is transported back to one of the outhouses at the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington.

If the party member dies while in the Jungle, the glowing orb to revive them appears near Akabi's stall at the circus.

A game in Honour Mode can be softlocked if a character has the Periapt of Wound Closure equipped and is DownedDowned in the Jungle. This results in the character being stuck in an infinite combat loop in a stabilised state. The only known way out of this loop is to kill the Downed character by having another character unequip their necklace and send them an item that explodes on a timer – namely Otiluke's Conveniently Portable Freezing SphereOtiluke's Conveniently Portable Freezing Sphere.

If a party member drops one of the Netherstones in this region before leaving, the game is softlockedsoftlocked, as there is no known way to retrieve any items dropped in this region (except for respawning them via mods or 3rd-party tools), and it is only possible to visit this region once.[1]
