Clan Flameshade is a faction of Duergar from the Underdark. They were hired as mercenaries by Nere Nere to enslave others and employ them in the Grymforge.

Members of Clan Flameshade can be found throughout Grymforge, either torturing gnome slaves from Clan Ironhand, manning checkpoints or exploring Grymforge and its history. They are led by Elder Brithvar Elder Brithvar, who can be convinced to double-cross Nere Nere.

According to the Speak with Dead Speak with Dead dialogue with Skarjall Skarjall the clan came from the city of Dunspeirrin⁠Dunspeirrin beneath the Orsraun Mountains⁠Orsraun Mountains.
