Notes

  • Any effects that boost jump range like the Athlete feat or Enhance LeapEnhance Leap apply to Diving Strike as well. Refer to this table of jump distance modifiers for an exhaustive list of such effects.
  • This attack benefits from high ground bonus to attack rolls. Note that this ability requires a 1.5 m / 5 ft elevation over the target, but the high ground bonus requires a slightly higher 2.5 m / 8 ft elevation.
  • A stack of two crates is sufficient to get the required 1.5 m / 5 ft height advantage against a target on level ground. It is also sufficient to unlock the +2 high ground bonus to the attack roll.
  • Diving strike counts as a jump for the purposes of features like ShockwaveShockwave.

Bugs

  • If this attack misses and Reckless AttackReckless Attack is triggered in response, the attack roll is not actually rerolled, so it will always still miss. However, if Reckless Attack is already active, the attack roll is made with AdvantageAdvantage as expected.
