Ellyka

Ellyka is a scout near the Mountain Pass entrance to the west of Waukeen's Rest in Act One.

Involvement

Act One

At the entrance to the Mountain Pass, Ellyka warns the party about a group of githyanki on the road ahead. However, if the interacting party member appears to be a githyanki, Ellyka refers to them as 'flatface', and the party has a few unique dialogue responses. While speaking to Ellyka with a githyanki appearance, she attacks the party if they select:

• [GITHYANKI] They may be my kin. I will investigate.
• [GITHYANKI] First and last warning - lower that weapon.

Ellyka is later captured and killed. Her corpse is in the cell room of Crèche Y'llek. Using  Speak with Dead on it can reveal she traveled to Rosymorn searching for  The Blood of Lathander, but was captured and tortured by the githyanki for information on Moonrise. If Ellyka is killed at the Mountain Pass, it is not possible to commune with her using  Speak with Dead.

Ellyka's corpse can be communed with at Crèche Y'llek using  Speak with Dead.

Notes

• While in combat with Ellyka, it is still possible for a character to enter the trigger zone for the usual cutscene that occurs at the Mountain Pass area. This abruptly ends the combat encounter, and Ellyka then flees from the location, but remains marked as 'hostile.'^[verify]
• If Ellyka does not engage in combat with the party she is later captured and then killed by the Githyanki in Crèche Y'llek. If her corpse is examined there, she is level 5 and has an Extra Attack.
