Amnos, named in-game as Dead Caravan Agent, was a human merchant who died along the Risen Road during Act One, near the bloated hyenas.

Amnos can be found along the Risen Road near the bloated hyenas at X: 27 Y: 525.
Using 
Speak with Dead reveals that he was traveling with the Zhentarim shipment when they were attacked by gnolls. 
Rugan fled north with the chest, leaving Amnos behind to his fate.
