Involvement

Ward Magmar can be found at X: -606 Y: 384, where he together with Ward Pistle guards the entrance to the elevator leading up to the Shadow-Cursed Lands. To while away the time he and Pistle maltreat the deep gnome slave Skickpit, making him bring them both beer from the barrel down the stairs.

If the player wants to free Skickpit, they have to deal with Magmar and Pistle. They may speak to the gnome (it should be done somewhere slavers cannot see, otherwise the gnome won't say anything) or spike the Beer Barrel straigtaway (using any available poison or toxin). Either way, after drinking a pitcher of spiked beer, both Magmar and Pistle fall dead.

Magmar is a loyal member of the Clan Flameshade. Should the player conspire with Elder Brithwar against Nere, Magmar would join them against the drow and cult novices among Duergars.
