If spoken with using Speak with Animals, Kira gives the party information on the customers of Sharess' Caress. If a party member compliments her, or if they leave the initial conversation without saying anything, then a party member can speak her again. If the party insults or tries to pet her, she does not converse with them anymore.
Kira was named after the cat of a character artist that worked on the cat model, using her own cats as references. Kira sadly passed away during production and was put into the game by the developers so she could forever roam the streets of Baldur’s Gate.[1]
