If using {{SAI|Speak with Dead}} before finding {{CharLink|Benryn}}, she asks the party to rescue him through a nearby door. After successfully retrieving him, Benryn rushes to her body and collapses in grief. If using {{SAI|Speak with Dead}} at this time, Benryn asks her about a {{SmRarityItem|Dowry Ring}}. She reveals that the ring is hidden in the barn behind the inn. After finding it, the party can keep it or return it to Benryn, which completes {{Quest|Rescue the Trapped Man}}. He remains next to her corpse even after the quest is finished.


After a successful rescue, Benryn will run to her body and start mourning. Using {{SAI|Speak with Dead}} on her, will prompt him to ask about a {{SmRarityItem|Dowry Ring}}, that progresses the quest. If using Speak with Dead Speak with Dead before finding Benryn Benryn, she asks the party to rescue him through a nearby door. After successfully retrieving him, Benryn rushes to her body and collapses in grief. If using Speak with Dead Speak with Dead at this time, Benryn asks her about a Dowry Ring. She reveals that the ring is hidden in the barn behind the inn. After finding it, the party can keep it or return it to Benryn, which completes Rescue the Trapped Man Rescue the Trapped Man. He remains next to her corpse even after the quest is finished.
