If the party members are not marked for death by Vlaakith, Tska’an and her entourage do not appear at the ambush spot. If this is the case, Tska'an moves to the Knights of the Shield Hideout in Act Three where she must be fought as part of the quest Visit the Emperor's Old Hideout.

Encounter details[edit section | visual editor]
- Tska'an and her squad block the party from proceeding to Baldur's Gate and Act Three. Tska'an begins the battle standing on an archway flanked by two Veteran Githyanki Raiders who often use Trip Attack and fire Arrows of Many Targets. Below her are two Veteran Githyanki Warriors armed with Githyanki Parry.
- All members of the gith ambush carry weapons imbued with Light, to protect them from the weaker areas of the Shadow Curse on the border of Reithwin.
Tactics[edit section | visual editor]
- An effective way to begin the fight is using spells like Enhance Leap, Misty Step, or Dimension Door to get the entire party onto the top of the archway and begin focusing attacks on the raiders. Alternatively, the party can sneak their way onto the archway via a path to the north before the githyanki appear and surprise them. The warriors below are then forced to waste a turn or two taking the long way around or using Enhance Leap to follow with a jump.
- Tska'an and her entourage can be affected by the Shadow curse. Retreating deeper into the town of Reithwin or trapping them in a source of darkness (e.g., from Hunger of Hadar or Darkness) suppresses the Light spell on their weapons, causing them to take damage from the curse every turn. However, if they die to the curse they are revived with half health as Shadow-Cursed Undead, hostile to everyone – including the still-living githyanki.
