Yul can be found dead along the Mountain Pass in Act One.

Yul's corpse is west of Waukeen's Rest along the Mountain Pass at X: -140 Y: 559. Using 
can reveal that he and Zorru were scouting for a path to Baldur's Gate when they were ambushed by a githyanki patrol. Zorru fled, leaving Yul to fend off the githyanki alone.
