Underdark Pleasures is a Location within Wyrm's Crossing in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is one of Sharess' Caress' thematic parlours, in use by Nym Orlith Nym and Sorn Orlith Sorn Orlith.

Overview[edit | edit source]

This room is the farmost of all private rooms of the Sharess' Caress pleasure house. To reach it, the party must come up to the upper floor and walk along all the archway above the Crossing. Underdark Pleasures actually occupies the second floor of the western part of Sharess' Caress, but is still considered a section of the Upper Floor.

The interior of the parlour is stylized to be a cross between the Underdark realm and the environment of the Gnarled Teahouse, with various giant mushrooms, shabby furniture, glowing bulbs as lanterns, and a young sussur tree in a corner (albeit without a magic-sapping effect magic-sapping effect). There is almost nothing to loot in this room, except a single Rogue's Morsel in the wardrobe, and a bottle of wine.

This room's residents - the drow twins Sorn Orlith Sorn and Nym Orlith Nym Orlith - fled the Underdark due to the matriarchy's mistreatment of men, ultimately coming to work in Baldur's Gate.

The parlour is normally locked, as the twins usually await for another client in the music hall on the ground floor, behind the curtain. Should the player character arrange an encounter with either or both of them - or both at the same time - the drow lead the way to the room and open the door themselves. In their absence, the room can be unlocked by lockpicking or by using Sharess' Caress Rooms Key, obtained from Amira Mamzell Amira or taken from the Nymph's Grotto.

Should the player character use the services of either or both of the twins, speaking to them inside the parlour starts a cutscene, most of which comes with the blackened-out screen, showing the narration and dialogue options only. Despite the Narrator's describing the cutscene as taking all night long, it neither triggers the Long Rest mechanism, nor adds it a new calendar day to the journal.

After the cutscene ends, all participants remain in the parlour, dressed in their underwear only.[1]
