Kyr'das and several other githyanki youths and children are in the Crèche Classroom, watching their teacher,  Sa’varsh Kethk, mock and kick  Youth Varrl into fighting back.

If Varrl dies, Kyr'das gloats at his execution, claiming that they are much braver than Varrl.
