The Blue Jay is a Beast found on the Rosymorn Monastery Trail in Act One. Talking to it and agreeing to help it initiates the quest Reclaim the Blue Jay's Nest. Blue Jay may be spoken to while using Speak with Animals.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

The Blue Jay is a bird of dubious morals encountered on the road to Rosymorn Monastery. It can initially be found hovering alongside a small nest containing a key. When pressed, the bird will coyly admit that it stole the nest from "some poor little tit who wasn't paying attention."

Talking to it about "drunk lizards" prompts a DC 14 Nature check which, if passed, hints at the Kobold presence at the Rosymorn Monastery.

The party may threaten to eat the Blue Jay, scaring it off.

The Blue Jay will attempt to recruit the party to take back "its" nest from the Giant Eagles atop the monastery roof. Upon completion, it will reveal the location of a hidden stash on the region map.
