Stained Cask

The Stained Cask is an environmental object in the Grymforge from which nearby Duergar guards are served their alcohol.

Involvement

Act One

Near the the elevator out of the Grymforge, the guards  Magmar and  Pistle are harassing the enslaved Ironhand deep gnome  Skickpit. Skickpit is serving the two guards drinks from the nearby stained cask.

If interacted with, a party member can spike it with a  Basic Poison,  Wyvern Toxin, or  Drow Poison. Even though the cask is marked red, interacting or even spiking it does not trigger any nearby Duegar.

If the cask is spiked, Skickpit will get a refill for the guards. Once served both guards will suddenly die after a few sips. Skickpit will be thankful for rescuing him and asks what he is supposed to do next. If they answer politely, he gifts the party a vial of  Wyvern Toxin.

If a party member drinks from the poisoned cask themselves, they will receive  Ingested Poisoned Beer.
