This break is jagged and sloped diagonally, suggesting a natural break that resulted in the collection of rubble by the pedestal. The pedestal itself is hefty and adorned with a heavily worn plaque. Attempting to read the plaque results in the narration: "Time and the elements have left the plaque unreadable." Metal rings are affixed to each side of the pedestal.
Other cracks are visible along the statue. A broken statue piece can be found beneath the eastern transept, which may have been part of its upper half.

Another piece of a statue from the shoulders up can be found in an alcove beneath the eastern transept. This is potentially the upper half of the broken statue, as it appears similar to the smaller statue and is broken along the shoulders. However, this location is too far from the broken piece to have arrived in the alcove without manipulation. It is unknown why it was moved and by whom.
Alternatively, this piece was part of a third statue that was located on the foundation that the wooden crane rests on. In this case, the piece would have still been moved by an external force into the alcove.

The Chapel Entrance is a Location within the Wilderness in Act One of Baldur's Gate 3. It is located on the cliff on the north side of the Ravaged Beach. It covers the upper section of the Overgrown Ruins.

The Chapel Entrance contains a door to the Refectory and a hidden hatch to the Dank Crypt.

Four Looters have set up base and are arguing whether to hold their post or to search the Nautiloid Wreck to the south.

Snapping the rope with a ranged attack will cause the block to fall, dealing 50Damage TypesPhysical damage to creatures below it and crashing through the floor into the Refectory. This creates an entrance into the Refectory that the party can jump into.

To the east of the Chapel Ruins is a winding path along the cliffside that leads into the Dank Crypt at X: 315 Y: 365. To enter the crypt, a hatch can be opened from outside by passing a DC 20 Sleight of Hand check.

Refectory door[edit | edit source]

In the depths of the Chapel Ruins, a locked door leads into the Refectory at X: 285 Y: 375. The door can be opened by passing a DC 7 Sleight of Hand check or by convincing the guard behind the door, Andorn Andorn, to allow entry. On a successful Persuasion or Intimidation check, the party can enter the Refectory, causing Andorn to become hostile and Surprised Surprised. If the party fail to convince Andorn to open the door and enter via lockpicking, Andorn will have exited the area and left a blast mine trap at the entrance. All bandits inside the Refectory will be prepared for combat.
