Evasion is a Monk and Rogue passive feature that makes you receive less damage from spells or effects that require a Dexterity Saving Throw.
Description
Your agility lets you dodge out of the way of certain spells. When a spell or effect would deal half damage on a successful Dexterity saving throw, it deals no damage if you succeed, and only half damage if you fail.
How to learn
Classes:
Used by creatures: Assassin's Folly, Bugthimble, Elliot, Fishbait Arno, Friol, G'imre, Ghik'lir, Gish'ra (caster), Gish'ra (melee), Gremishka, Hr'ack'la, Ironhand Grenadier, Jyd'i', K'i'lar, Lady Lockjaw, Lir'i'c, Mask of Terror, Metamage Persecutor, M'i'hayk, Meztli, Mir'ic, Nine-Fingers Keene, Nyk, Orin, Orpheus, Phase, Sh'ari, Snapbone, Strangler Luke, Terse Torvalt, Verik, Way of the Profane Ki, Zhent Half-Elven, Zelrin, Zhentmodeus, and Zhent Elf
Notes
- This does not do anything to mitigate any additional non-damaging effects that the triggering spell/effect might apply.
- Although the description references "certain spells", this applies to any effect that allows a Dexterity saving throw to halve the damage, including things that are not spells such as Smokepowder Satchels.
