Fist Jara is human Flaming Fist patron of Sharess' Caress in Wyrm's Crossing. She has a tadpole, and will transform into a Mind flayer upon encountering the party.

Involvement

Jara can first be seen in Naoise Nallinto's room, getting ready for a makeout session with her. Upon being approached by the party, an extended cutscene will begin in which Jara recognizes the party and is commanded to transform into a Mind Flayer by the Netherbrain, beginning combat.

Jara has both her regular abilities and mind flayer abilities:

 Blight ()

8d8 (8~64) Necrotic

Deals 8d8Necrotic to a target. Plants take maximum damage from this spell, and have Disadvantage on the Saving throw against it.

CON Save

 Conjure Elemental: Fire Elemental ()

The fire elemental can use  Smouldering Touch,  Erupting Cinder, and can make your foes  Burn.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

 Counterspell ()

Try to stop a spell being cast.

If it is higher level than the spell slot you used to Counterspell, you must make a check using your spellcasting ability^{[See Notes]} to prevent it. The check's difficulty is equal to 10 plus the level of the spell you are trying to counter.

Hurl a mote of fire.

Float effortlessly to a destination.

 Melf's Acid Arrow ()

Shoot a green arrow that bursts in a spray of acid. Deals 4d4Acid damage immediately and 2d4Acid damage at the end of the target's next turn.

If the spell misses, the target still takes half the initial damage, but no damage at the end of its next turn.

 Mind Blast ()

4d8 (4~32) + Spellcasting modifier Psychic

Spew forth a conical wave of psychic energy and possibly  Stun targets within.
