Black Gauntlet of Bane

Black Gauntlets are cultists of Bane and the senior-most officers under Lord Enver Gortash.

Involvement

Act Three

Black Gauntlets are found commanding the Banite cultists in key locations in Baldur's Gate such as Wyrm's Rock Fortress and the Steel Watch Foundry.

Combat

Black Gauntlets are potent spellcasters and have spell slots equivalent to a level 12 caster. Their exact spell list varies between different Black Gauntlets but they generally have Necrotic damage spells and mind-controlling spells drawn from the Cleric or Wizard spell list.

Call forth spirits to protect the area around you.

 Blight ()

8d8 (8~64) Necrotic damage

Deals 8d8Necrotic to a target. Plants take maximum damage from this spell, and have Disadvantage on the Saving throw against it.

 Phantasmal Killer ()

4d10 (4~40) Psychic damage

Haunt a creature with illusions of its greatest fears. It takes 4d10Psychic Damage per turn, cannot move, has Disadvantage on Ability Checks and Attack Rolls

 Dominate a nearby humanoid. Allies are unaffected.
