Involvement

Act One

A ruthless swordsman and psionic manipulator, W'wargaz can be considered the boss enemy of Crèche Y'llek. If not killed by the party at Crèche Y'llek, he can be fought at the Knights of the Shield Hideout as part of  Visit the Emperor's Old Hideout.

He can be spoken to with  Speak with Dead.

Leech off a foe's psychic energy to make them more vulnerable and strengthen yourself.

You gain a +1 bonus to your  Armour Class and deal an additional 1d4Psychic with weapon attacks.

The target receives a -2 penalty to its Armour Class and becomes Vulnerable to Psychic damage.

 Mindsteal Tempest ()

Force a psychic connection on those around you. Use  Mindsteal Link on all nearby creatures.

You gain a +1 bonus to your  Armour Class and deal an additional 1d4Psychic with weapon attacks.

The target receives a -2 penalty to its Armour Class and becomes Vulnerable to Psychic damage.

AoE: 40 m / 133 ft (Radius)

 Misty Step ( + )

Surrounded by silver mist, you teleport to an unoccupied space you can see.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

Make a non-lethal attack against an enemy and possibly  Daze them.

W'wargaz is affected by  Legendary Resistance for his first three Saving Throws on Tactician difficulty.

Honour mode

W'wargaz receives the passive  Legendary Action: Mind-Claw of Tu'narath on Honour Mode, enabling him to freely summon up to two Mind-Claws of Tu'narath per round, whenever he or his allies are attacked.

 Mind-Claw of Tu'narath

Summon a vestigial echo of Vlaakith's ire as a wicked psionic blade.

Whenever a summoned Mind-Claw strikes an opponent, W'wargaz can cast  Mindsteal Link as a reaction on the target. All Mind-Claws are dismissed when W'wargaz is killed. The summoned Mind-Claws are not dismissed by knocking W'wargaz unconscious.

Tactics

• An effective way to deal with his  Githyanki Parry is to have him use his reaction on an  Opportunity Attack, allowing the party to deal more damage per round.
