Karrow is a gold dwarf ranger who is part of Harpers in Act Two. He is part of a small group of Harpers on a patrol expedition to the hills east of Last Light Inn.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Expedition[edit | edit source]

The party first encounter Karrow in the Shadow-Cursed Lands, by entering via the Grymforge lift. He is part of an expedition of Harpers led by Lassandra and consisting of Yonas, Meygan, and himself. Quickly after meeting the party and regardless of initial dialogue options, Yonas is ambushed and corrupted by Shadows, turning undead instantly after. Immediately after Yonas' demise, a battle with the ambusing Shadows is commenced.

If the leader, Lassandra, survives the fight, she will talk to the party again and mark the Last Light Inn on their map. If both Lassandra and Meygan died in the fight, Karrow will take the lead in speaking with the party. Despite not marking the location on the party's map, he will offer to lead them to the inn's safety.

Karrow has the tendency to seek and fight the two most distant ambushing Shadows, which makes himself most vulnerable to the Shadow Curse. Likewise, he is the only member of the group to not have a light source equipped, meaning that he can easily be put under the effect of the Shadow Curse. It is highly possible that either by the end of the battle or after the battle, Karrow, too, will be corrupted and become a Shadow-Cursed Undead Shadow-Cursed Undead.

If entering the Shadow-Cursed Lands through the Mountain Pass and starts Follow the Convoy instead, upon the party's arrival at Last Light Inn, they will see Karrow returning to the sanctuary with Meygan, and Lassandra.

Last Light Inn[edit | edit source]

Should the party come to Last Light Inn, Karrow and Meygan can be found mourning Yonas on a rocky ledge south of the docks. Provided Karrow survived the ambush, he will be standing a few steps back from where Meygan is kneeling at Yonas' shrine, observing the former grieving over the latter's death.

Resolve the Abduction[edit | edit source]

When Flaming Fist Marcus attacks the inn and attempts to kidnap Isobel during Resolve the Abduction, Karrow will be too far away from the action to provide any help in the ensuing fight. If failing to protect Isobel, he and everyone in Last Light Inn will turn into a Shadow-Cursed Undead Shadow-Cursed Undead, save for Jaheira.

Assault Moonrise Towers[edit | edit source]

Karrow, along with Lassandra and Meygan, does not join the assault against Absolute forces. He remains at the Last Light Inn, before completely disappearing once Ketheric Thorm is defeated.
