Hiss! I say: HISS!
— His Majesty, when prompted into a conversation

His Majesty is a cat NPC in Baldur's Gate 3 who can be found inside Last Light Inn. He is a stand-offish cat who will hiss when approached. You can speak with His Majesty using the spell Speak with Animals. He is distrustful of Isobel because she promised him milk but has yet to give him any.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • In Patch #3 on September 22 2023, His Majesty's model was changed to a furry cat. This resulted in a massive player outcry to change it back, which they did in Hotfix #8 on October 3 2023.
    • In the changelog for Patch #3 his hairy appearance was explained as "Updated the visuals of His Majesty, who previously looked like Steelclaw. His Majesty's appearance now befits his name and nature."
    • In Hotfix #8 Larian said as "Shaved His Majesty, who is once again a Sphynx. Steelclaw's eye colour has been adjusted so they are no longer identical twins."
  • Stealing the milk bowl from Isobel's room and presenting it to His Majesty will not lead to him drinking it, nor improve your favour with him.
