Mirkon
Mirkon is a tiefling child who can be found in the Emerald Grove listening to a mysterious song.

“No, no. It's just a bit of water. I only want to listen. Just a little closer... Yes, everything's gonna be fine... once I get there...„
Involvement[edit section | visual editor]
Act One[edit section | visual editor]
Mirkon is in a strange trance at the Secluded Cove just outside of the Emerald Grove during Investigate the Beach.
Exploring the beach or speaking to Mirkon reveals several harpies as the source of the alluring song. If a Rogue party member steals from him ( DC 5 Sleight of Hands Check) while he is charmed by the song and before the conflict begins, party members with the Criminal background receive The Allure of Coin inspiration.
Upon approaching a bit closer, the harpies attack the party. If Mirkon survives the encounter, he provides the password to the Tiefling Hideout and tells the party to visit Mol. This grants the Slaying the Piper inspiration to party members with the Urchin background, and the Protector of the Small inspiration to party members with the Folk Hero background. The inspirations The Allure of Coin and Slaying the Piper are mutually exclusive.
Multiple triggers can cause Mirkon's death. If any are activated, the party can find his corpse in the harpy's nest. Known causes include:
- Using a Long Rest after entering Mirkon's range on the beach
- Killing the Goblin Camp leaders
- Betraying Minthara after luring her to the Grove
Act Two[edit section | visual editor]
If Rolan is persuaded to stay with the tiefling refugees, Mirkon moves to the room near the bar of Last Light Inn and chats with Harper Bor.
Act Three[edit section | visual editor]
Mirkon moves with Mattis near the Requisitioned Barn in Rivington.
