Idle banter[edit section | visual editor]

  • Lady Oberon's Bodyguard
Lady Alia says the Absolute's army won't be causing trouble for Gortash - or for us.
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
I'm not sure I believe her, but does it really matter?
  • Lady Oberon's Bodyguard
    Meaning?
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
Meaning that in the games of generals and dukes, we're not even pawns, just dust on the board.
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
What happens next is out of our hands.
  • Lady Oberon's Bodyguard
Gortash's got Ravengard on his side. That should tell you something.
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
What? That every duke's just the same as the last, sticking up for each other as the sky falls around us?
  • Lady Oberon's Bodyguard
Gods, it must be exhausting to be so cynical.
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
Not as exhausting as all that boot-kissing you've been doing.
  • Lady Oberon's Bodyguard
Ravengard's a hero! Elturel would still be stuck in the Hells if it weren't for him.
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
Have you seen the tieflings at the south gate? Elturel's exiles, cast out by their own city.
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
Your precious hero 'liberated' them from one hell only to trap them in another.
  • Lady Oberon's Bodyguard
Shut your mouth. Ravengard is a legend.
  • Lady Durinbold's Bodyguard
Ravengard is a charlatan. Like every last patriar of this wretched city.
