Shadow Mastiffs are a creature and non-playable race encountered in Act Two.

Overview

Often moving as a pack, these hounds of the Shadowfell slink from shadow to shadow, always on the hunt.

Three Shadow Mastiffs appear out of the shadows alongside a Shadow Mastiff Alpha in the Ruined Battlefield, near X: -49 Y: 36, when the nearby ever-burning torches are destroyed. Another can be summoned via Retinue of the Vampire Lord Retinue of the Vampire Lord as part of the Gather Your Allies quest.
