For the Animate Dead ghoul summon, see Ghoul (Animate Dead).
Ghouls are an Undead Humanoid creature and non-playable race in Baldur's Gate 3.
About ghouls[edit section | visual editor]
Ghouls devour the flesh of corpses and hunger for that of the living. Their claws can cause paralysis, and they are immune to Poison damage.
Involvement[edit section | visual editor]
Ghouls can be found along the Rosymorn Monastery Trail during Act One.
They can be created by the level 5 necromancy spell, Animate Dead, which can be learned by wizards and clerics. These ghouls are higher level and have different abilities. See: Ghoul (Animate Dead).
Another distinct variant of ghouls can be summoned by the special spell Danse Macabre, which is acquired from reading the Necromancy of Thay and The Tharchiate Codex. See: Ghoul (Danse Macabre).
