During Baldur's Gate 3, many story related events happen at the Campsite. Dark Urge[edit | edit source]
Alfira visits camp and is killed by Dark Urge[edit | edit source]
Requirements: Crossing the Forest river
Consequences: Alfira appears after initiating a Long Rest. Her dialogue depends on how the party treated her, when they encountered her before. No matter the outcome of the dialogue, she stays the night at the camp, but is killed by the Dark Urge at night. The Dark Urge then has to either hide the body through succeeding a DC 12 Stealth or Strength check check or convince their companions they were innocent through succeeding a Persuasion check. The difficulty class for the persuasion check varies depending on whether or not the player character cleaned the blood off and depending on which options they choose to do so. It is also possible to blame Astarion if knowing that he is a vampire. Doing so causes him to lose approval. Alternatively, the player character admit to the murder.
If Alfira is already dead or knocked unconscious on the day this event is triggered, the campsite is visited by Quil Grootslang instead, and she is killed then instead of Alfira. If Alfira was knocked unconscious she later can be met at the place where she was knocked out and after the camp celebration, she can be encountered in the Last Light Inn in Act Two.

Consequences: Sceleritas Fel explains to the player character that their insatiable Urge to kill is now directed toward the person they care for most: their romantic interest or, if they have none, the companion with the highest approval rating. If the player character has multiple active romances, the companion with the higher approval is chosen. Minthara, Halsin, and Jaheira are excluded as potential targets. Gale is also excluded until his Orb is stabilized by Elminster.
After Sceleritas leaves, the player character can try to resist the Urge (DC14 Wisdom saving throw) and wake the companion, surrender to the Urge and kill them, or go to sleep.
If the Dark Urge successfully wakes their companion, they can warn them before succumbing to possession by the Urge. Their companion restrains them and tries to calm them down. Afterwards, the Dark Urge can explain to their companion about their urges.
If they do not warn their companion, the Dark Urge kills them. The player then has to make a DC 25 Deception check to convince their companions it was an accident. If they fail, the entire camp turns hostile to the player character.

Requirements: Long resting during Act 3.
Consequences: Astarion's siblings attack the party at camp.
Astarion romance[edit | edit source]
Requirements: Romance Astarion, complete
Consequences: Romance scene with Astarion depending on the choices made at the end of his personal quest.
If the player character dissuaded Astarion from Ascending, they meet at Astarion's old grave, where he tells the player character that Cazador essentially killed the person that Astarion was before being turned into a vampire. He ends with a hopeful tone, believing that he can finally chase after his own desires, which include the player character. He tells them that it is finally time for him to start living again.
If Astarion did perform the Ascension ritual, he forces the player character to become his vampire spawn. This can be optionally preceded by sex, but the scene always ends with the player character being naked while Astarion bites them. If the player character refuses to turn into his spawn, he ends the relationship, saying that it is their loss to have turned down his "gift".
Emperor dream[edit | edit source]
Requirements: Learning about Belynne Stelmane's murder.
Consequences: The Emperor reflects on its past life. The player character can either comfort it or keep insisting they find it a disgusting creature, after which it mentions the player character reminds him of Stelmane. Another option is wishing for a dreamless sleep, which ends the scene prematurely.
Emperor romance[edit | edit source]
Requirements: Completing
, knowing about Belynne Stelmane's murder.Consequences: The Emperor appears in the player character's dreams and tries to seduce the player character into a romance scene. The player character can accept and have sex with it in either its mindflayer or Dream Guardian form. Or they can reject. Lae'zel, Wyll and Gale leave no matter what dialogue options the player character choose.

Requirements: Long resting after arriving in Lower City.
Cancelled by: Having already encountered Orin in the sewers.
Consequences: Orin abducts one of the companions or Yenna. She then tries to coerce the party into killing Enver Gortash by threatening to kill her victim should they come for her first. The preceding scene differs depending on who is abducted.
If Lae'zel is abducted, Orin appears as Lae'zel and threatens to kill Yenna, insinuating that the child is actually Orin in disguise. The party can either let her kill Yenna or persuade her into letting her go. Either way, Orin reveals herself and the scene continues as usual.
If Gale is the victim, Orin pretends to be Gale and threatens to use the Orb to blow up the city in hopes of taking the Absolute with him.
If Halsin is the unlucky one, Orin pretends to be Halsin and says that the corruption of the city causes him to lose control over himself, causing him to turn into a bear and attack Scratch.
If Orin abducted Minthara, she pretends to be her and starts to act all paranoid, saying Orin could be anyone.
If none of the above are available, Orin pretends to be Yenna and tells the party that she made some stew, which is actually made from Yenna's cat Grub.

Requirements:

Consequences: Romance scene with Shadowheart. Shadowheart tells the player character that she wants to take a swim in a nearby lake to cleanse herself from Shar's influence, as well as attempting to learn to swim and wants to take the player character along. This scene has two versions, depending if nudity is turned on or not in the accessibility settings.
If nudity is turned off, both Shadowheart and the player character meet at a beach, where Shadowheart asks the player character to get into the water. After a playful swim, the scene cuts to the pair on the beach again, fully clothed, where they start kissing.
If nudity is turned on, Shadowheart asks the player character to strip and gleefully looks on while they do. Both of them then walk into the water and enjoy a swim before returning to the beach, still naked, where they start to have sex.
A minor consequence of this scene is that Shadowheart, after falling into the water following the Netherbrain's defeat, mentions that she was lucky to have learned to swim.
Shadowheart romance - Shar path[edit | edit source]
Requirements:
- Romance Shadowheart and partner with her in Act 2
- Shadowheart became a Dark Justiciar in Act 2 by killing the Nightsong
- Complete

This is followed by Shadowheart and the player character having sex.

Wyll romance[edit | edit source]
Requirements: Romance Wyll. Complete .
Consequences: Romance scene with Wyll.
Act Three Origin specific events[edit | edit source]
Dark Urge[edit | edit source]
Dark Urge receives vision of their true identity[edit | edit source]
Requirements: Long resting in Rivington or Wyrm's Crossing, without having entered Wyrm's Rock.
Consequences: The Dark Urge receives a vision which explains they are Bhaalspawn. The tone of the vision depends whether the player character embraced or resisted the Urge in Act 2. If resisted, the vision implies Bhaal is angry with them and they probably die at Orin's hands. Orin appears in this dream in slayer form, killing the Dark Urge.
If embraced, the vision is more triumphant, claiming the player character is at the cusp of regaining their birthright, with Orin being the only one in their way. It shows the player character turning into the Slayer, killing her.
This vision also happens without Long Resting, when the Dark Urge enters Wyrm's Rock Fortress for the first time, at which point they faint and experience the vision.
Jaheira confronts the Dark Urge[edit | edit source]
Requirements: Having experienced the previous vision. Jaheira must be in active party if said vision occurs during Long Rest.
Consequences: Jaheira or Jaheira and Minsc, if he is already recruited, confront the Dark Urge after learning they are Bhaalspawn. If the previous event occurs during a Long Rest, this one immediately triggers. In this event, Jaheira and possibly Minsc wake the Dark Urge up and confront them about knowing their identity. At first, Jaheira appears hostile, but can be talked down using certain dialogue options.
If the Dark Urge became the Slayer by either killing Isobel or their beloved/best friend, Jaheira can be intimidated into leaving the party for good. This way, she won't appear after the Dark Urge accepts Bhaal's blessing.
