Lower City Sewers is a location that the party can enter during Act Three from several access points found throughout the Lower City area of Baldur's Gate. Entrances to the Lower City Sewers include manhole covers that are visible from the city streets, but additional passages can be found inside specific buildings.

Entrances[edit | edit source]

  • Ladder X: 46 Y: 780 Enter through the Manhole at Lower CityX: 128 Y: -30 located between Stormshore Tabernacle and Basilisk Gate Barracks
  • Ladder X: -82 Y: 843 Enter through the Manhole at Lower CityX: -161 Y: -61 located in front of Golbraith's Cellar
  • Ladder X: 52 Y: 793 Enter through the Hatch located in the Knights of the Shield Hideout at X: -753 Y: 592 in the basement of the Elfsong Tavern
  • Dripping Pipe X: 27 Y: 822 Enter through the Manhole located in Heapside Prison at X: -1262 Y: 740
  • Ladder X: -283 Y: 879 Enter through the Ornate Wooden Hatch located in the Gardener's Basement through the wooden door labeled as "Keep Out" located at Lower CityX: -251 Y: -87
  • A greasy, smelly climb up X: -158 Y: 835 Enter through "A greasy, smelly climb down" located in the basement of Flymm Cargo at X: -1097 Y: 335
  • Cazador's Dungeon (the door is locked from the Sewer side until used from the Dungeon side)

Abandoned Cistern[edit | edit source]

An area filled with large pipes, west of the Lower City Sewers.

There is a hidden location requiring a puzzle to be solved, where Minsc, and Roah Moonglow can be found making deals with Bhaalists and doppelgangers.

Guildhall[edit | edit source]

Main Article: Guildhall

Base of operations for Baldur's Gates' infamous criminal faction, The Guild, headed by Nine-Fingers Keene.

From the Guildhall, an additional exit to the sewers can be opened if the party discovers Nine-Fingers' Secret Sewer Vault.

Undercity Ruins[edit | edit source]

Main Article: Undercity Ruins

While inside the Lower City Sewers, the minimap name will become "Undercity Ruins" by walking north through a stone archway at roughly X: -138 Y: 907. The waypoint of the same name is usually visible from this path. Inside the ruins is a door X: -133 Y: 934 initially closed and locked, requiring special means to open, and a passageway X: -181 Y: 935 heading west, leading to the Ancient Lair upon interaction.
