Oubliette
Oubliette is a Location within Shadow-Cursed Lands in Act Two of Baldur's Gate 3. Shrouded in shadow and covered in bloody viscera, it houses prisoners of the Cult of the Absolute, both living and dead.
An illithid oubliette. Right beneath the Towers. A colony must be close. That must be where the tadpoles are coming from.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Oubliette can be reached in multiple ways:

  • From Moonrise Towers Prison, it can be reached by jumping into the pit at X: 580 Y: -690 (enter only), or by jumping into the hole in Cell Three X: 579 Y: -616 (enter only), or by descending the Cragged Rock at X: 503 Y: -617.
  • From Moonrise Towers, it can be reached by submitting to or failing the checks to escape the cracked wall X: -126 Y: -177.
  • If the party progresses through Reithwin Town X: -290 Y: -14 on the Road to Baldur's Gate before Ketheric Thorm Ketheric Thorm is defeated, the party will be given the choice to continue ahead or turn back; if the party chooses to continue, they will be immediately transported to the Oubliette.

Although the Oubliette appears at the southwest of the Mind Flayer Colony's map, they are separate areas. The Mind Flayer Colony may only be reached from the Moonrise Towers Rooftop, after defeating Ketheric defeating Ketheric, and the Oubliette cannot be reached from the Mind Flayer Colony.
