Danis

Danis is one of the tiefling refugees seeking shelter at the Emerald Grove in Act One. He is married to  Bex.

Involvement

Act One

Danis is usually with Bex at X: 165 Y: 550. If the party interact with him, he shares some of his hopes and dreams for Baldur's Gate. Before arriving at the Grove, he was employed by his father-in-law as a caravan but quit on his third day.

If the party decide to ⁠Raid the Grove, Danis hides in the Secluded Chamber with other tieflings. If he survives ⁠Defeat the Goblins, he and Bex join the celebration at the party's Campsite.

If the party travel to the Rosymorn Monastery Trail or the Shadow-Cursed Lands before resolving  Kagha's ritual the Rite of Thorns, the tieflings are expelled from the Grove and Danis' corpse is among the pile of refugees near the bridge to the Blighted Village.

Act Two

If Danis survives Act One, Bex reveals to the party at the Last Light Inn that Danis was captured. He can be rescued as part of ⁠Rescue the Tieflings.

If Danis is not freed from Moonrise Towers before dealing with the  Nightsong, his corpse is in the Oubliette with those of all the other prisoners.

Act Three

If he is rescued in Act Two, Danis moves with the other refugees to Rivington near the Requisitioned Barn.

  Look on the bright side, mother - should be fewer mouths to feed after today.

  Ikaron, please.

• Bex

  Danis can hunt! Sharp as an elf with that bow, aren't you love?

• Danis

  Well. In a pinch.

• Ikaron

  Then why aren't you on the wall?

• Danis

  Rabbits don't shoot back, do they?

• Danis

  Would you... like to pray, or something?

  No.
