Crawling Claws are a type of Undead creature and non-playable race found in Acts Two and Three.

About

Severed from their owners and skittering along on digits still stiff with rigor mortis, these hands can squeeze the breath from a throat in an instant.

Crawling claws are the reanimated amputated hands of humanoids. They are often crafted by necromancers to perform menial tasks, or employed as familiars by warlocks and wizards.

Crawling claws do not have a great deal of health or significant attacks, instead overwhelming their foes in swarms known as "applauses".

In Act 2, Marcus will summon a horde of crawling claws to cover his escape from the Last Light Inn if the party urges Jaheira to test him with her mind flayer parasite in a jar. This scenario is only possible if Mol died in Act 1 and is thus unable to vouch for the party.

In Act 3, many Crawling Claws can be found in the Ancient Lair.
